What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember certain information across pages or visits — such as whether you have already acknowledged a notice, or how you prefer the site to behave.
Cookies do not execute code and cannot carry viruses. They contain only small pieces of text. Most cookies are set by the site you are visiting directly; others may be set by third-party services embedded in the page.
You remain in control. You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings or using the preference controls below.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
Always activeThese cookies are necessary for the website to function correctly. Without them, features such as remembering your cookie choices or navigating between pages would not work. They cannot be switched off.
Examples: cookie consent record, session continuity · Duration: session or up to 12 months
Analytics cookies
These help us understand how visitors move through the site — which pages receive the most attention, where readers pause, and how they arrive. The information is aggregated and not linked to any individual.
Examples: Google Analytics (page views, session duration) · Duration: up to 24 months
Marketing cookies
These cookies may be used to show relevant information about our programmes to people who have previously visited the site. We use these sparingly and only in ways consistent with your expectations.
Examples: ad platform identifiers, retargeting signals · Duration: up to 90 days
Preference cookies
These remember choices you have made — such as your preferred language or display settings — so you do not need to re-enter them on each visit.
Examples: language selection, layout preferences · Duration: up to 12 months
